Frozen Yogurt Pops

My kids are really excited that the warmer weather has come around, because that means that mom is going to fill them up on some yummy frozen treats! What they don’t think about is that mom tries to keep these treats as healthy as she possibly can. So here is a recipe that I came up with the other day.

I made these to be strawberry and banana, but I’m pretty sure any fruit combination that you like could work.

  • 1 c. vanilla yogurt (I used homemade, but store-bought should work)
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 12 oz. frozen whole strawberries
  • 1/4 c. or less of granulated sugar (Heard it helps against the crystallization of the yogurt)


Add the yogurt and banana to a blender (or food processor) and blend until smooth.

Add the strawberries and sugar, then blend again until smooth. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds or ice cube trays. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until set.


My kids could not wait for these to freeze, but the said that they were worth the wait. I hope you give this a try. If you don’t like strawberries or banana, try raspberries with peaches or maybe even spinach and pineapple?! Tell us your flavor choice and whether or not you enjoyed it. Oh! BTW, if anyone knows if I could use honey instead of sugar and not have crystallization please let me know in the comments. Until next time…
