This recipe is a go-to for when I have a sweet tooth or just feel that I would like to end my day with a last minute dessert. I have heard it referred to as A Cup of Cobbler, but it’s more like a buckle than a cobbler. So instead of getting into a name or title debate, we’ll just call it GOOD! Lol! It can be made with staples from your pantry and whipped up in no time.
1 stick of butter, melted
1 cup of self rising flour
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of milk
1 cup of fruit of your choice (berries, cherries or peaches)
Mix first four ingredients together. Pour into a greased 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish. Sprinkle fruit over the top. You can sprinkle some sugar over the top of this if you like. I do it sometimes, but it’s not necessary. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
Voila! Dessert made from that fruit that was about to go bad in your fridge! Easy and delicious. It’s not the healthiest option, but this is a wonderful occasional treat! Give it a try and comment below to let us know what you think. Until next time…
Peace!
